About Me
I am Maria, a hospitality professional with more than a decade of experience in the industry.
During my culinary education, I started working my way through different kitchens in Latin America and Europe. I finally landed in London to pursue my passion for baking and ended up settling here and opening my own restaurant alongside my partner.
After its closure, I reflected on all the things I could have done better and all those I did well. It has given me invaluable knowledge and a real understanding of the struggles and realities of owning and running a hospitality business in the UK.
I now have a thorough understanding of the industry inside and out, as a customer, employee, business owner and consultant.
From both my successes and failures, I have learnt that this industry is in constant change and it’s up to us who are part of it to create or demand a change for the better.
Staff wellbeing, product and service quality and good hospitality are my passions.
I find joy in witnessing a business with a great product do well and for the people behind it to accomplish their dreams.
I want to be part of the process that guides them to success. I want to work with brands that are committed to creating a great product, providing a healthy working environment for their employees and delivering delightful experiences to their guests. All in the hopes of creating long-lasting and loyal relationships with both staff and customers.
